Doppler UFX Hand Held Flow Meter

This Doppler Flow Meter is ideal for measuring dredging systems, crude oil, sludges and waste slurries. Provides an easy way to measure flow in pipes containing relatively dirty liquids.

Non-Invasive transducer for holding on the pipe.

This flow Meter is normally furnished with a transducer for pipes 1 inch and larger. A small pipe transducer is available for pipes 1/4 to 1 inch.

Procedure is to wipe the pipe off with a rag, Smear some acoustic couplant (silicone grease) on the pipe and on the transducer. Hold the transducer to the pipe, press the ON/OFF button, and read the flow in feet/second or meters/second. This flow velocity is easily converted to flow rate with the slide rule provided.

Flow Measurement with non-invasive techniques.

Series UFX Doppler Flow Meters provide accurate and reliable flow velocity assessments in closed pipe, liquid systems. UFX requires that the liquid be either solids-bearing or aerated at a minimum of 100 ppm. The product utilizes a single, hand-held transducer which is placed on the outside of metal or plastic pipe. Within seconds after placing the transducer, the large LCD will provide a velocity reading in either FPS (feet per second) or MPS (meters per second). The UFX comes with a flow calculator/slide chart for conversion of velocity measurements to popular volumetric measurements.
