The "CoronaArc" Igniter (Industrial Spark Plug) has a protruding "Fuel Grabbing" electrode that delivers a powerful, non-fouling, contaminant burning spark. It will operate continuously in a 2000 Deg. F. environment, even in a "glowing cherry red" condition. Retraction is not necessary in the far majority of cases. How is this possible? We’ve gotten rid of the weak link in the system, the glass semiconductor that the "other guys" sandwich between the two electrodes at the firing end.
